i promise on this blog, i will reframe from posting stuff from kanye's blog but i really want people to read this. i feel this way everyday with skiing. i didnt really ever look up to anybody in skiing cause they were these stereotypical athletes that were successful but were never break boundaries set in our sport nor would they strive to make new boundaries. thats why i looked up to kanye since my first year of FIS (federation international de ski. pretty much my first year i raced on an international level and was internationally ranked). i would always want to do stuff diffrent from other people. there was this kid on my team was this like perfect athlete and would do everything perfect from other coaches and skier's perspective. somewhat like a golden child haha, as funny as that sounds its true. i could of easily followed his footsteps but i said FUCK THAT, i want to be the complete opposite. THEY TOLD ME I COULDNT DO THIS, EVENTUALLY I DID THAT. THE FUCKING HEAD COACH OF THE ALBERTA SKI TEAM TOLD ME I WOULD NEVER BE ANYTHING IN SKIING, 2 YEARS LATER IM BEATING A MAJORITY OF ALL HIS ATHLETES!!! i feel like kanye, no matter how fucking HARD I WORK, i have people just saying fuck you, you ain't shit all because i do things diffrent. now im not saying i did or will do anything that will change skiing but AT LEAST I FUCKING TRIED! so in saying that please read this post from kanye's blog, i hope some people use what i have to say but more importantly what kanye has to say as motivation and below check out his young jeezy put on performance at the bet awards he did right after he wrote on his blog....




I am sick of negative people who just sit around trying 2 plot my downfall... Why???? I understand if people don't like me because I like me or if people think tight clothes look gay or people say I run my mouth to much, But this Bonnaroo thing is the worst insult I've ever had in my life. This is the most offended I've ever been... this is the maddest I ever will be. I'm typing so fucking hard I might break my fucking Mac book Air!!!!!!!! THIS SHOWS NO MATTER HOW HARD YOU TRY TO BE GOOD AT SOMETHING THERE WILL BE PEOPLE THERE TO LIE ABOUT YOU AND BRING YOU DOWN! LIKE WAYNE SAYS PLEASE DON'T SHOOT ME DOWN CAUSE I'M FLYING! I'M FUCKING HURT BY THIS ONE. ALL I CARE ABOUT ARE THE FANS. JUST SAY THIS OUT LOUD IN A ROOM FULL OF PEOPLE, "KANYE DOESN'T CARE ABOUT GIVING A GOOD PERFORMANCE." CAN ANYONE HONESTLY SAY THAT ????????? HAS ANYONE EVEN TAKEN THE TIME TO AT LEAST DO THE MATH??? BONNAROO SHOULD HAVE RELEASED A STATEMENT IN MY DEFENSE BUT SINCE THEY HAVEN'T LET'S BREAK DOWN THE WALLS ON THIS TRUMAN SHOW AND LET YOU KNOW WHAT REALLY OCCURRED!!! FOR OVER A MONTH WE WENT BACK AND FORTH ON WETHER OR NOT WE COULD EVEN FIT MY STAGE AT THE FESTIVAL. ONE DAY THEY WOULD SAY YES... WE'D SEND THEM OUR SPECS THEN THEY THEY'D SAY OK... THEN THEY WOULD SEND SPECS BACK THAT DIDN'T FIT THE STAGE. WE WERE OBVIOUSLY DEALING WITH FUCKING IDIOTS WHO DIDN'T REALLY HAVE THE CAPACITY TO REALLY PUT ON THIS SHOW PROPERLY. THEY TRIED 2 GIVE ME A TIME SLOT WERE IT WAS STILL LIGHT OUTSIDE ... I HAVE A FUCKING LIGHT SHOW DUMB ASS, IT'S NOT CALLED GLOW IN THE DARK FOR NO REASON SQUID BRAINS! MY PEOPLE WORKED OUT A COMPROMISED STAGE PLOT AND A 3AM TIME SLOT AND I AGREED. FAST FOWARD TO THE DAY OF THE SHOW. MY PRODUCTION MANAGER TRIED TO LOAD IN FOR 24 HOURS BEFORE I WENT ON STAGE BUT THE FESTIVAL WOULDN'T ALLOW US TO DO ANYTHING UNTILL PEARL JAM LEFT THE STAGE. PEARL JAM ENDED ONE HOUR
LATE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AT THAT POINT WE'RE RACING AGAINST THE SUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AT 4:20AM DON COMES BACK 2 THE BUS AND TELLS ME, " IT WOULD TAKE 45 MORE MINUTES TO PUT ALL YOUR PYRO IN!" I SAY I HAVE TO GET OUT THERE AS SOON AS POSSIBLE . I HIT THE STAGE AND PEOPLE HAD BEEN THROWING SHIT ON THE STAGE AND HAD ACTUALLY HIT THE JANE SCREEN WITH, I GUESS BOTTLES OR SOMETHING AND HAD BROKEN MY FUCKING SCREEN. REMEMBER WHEN YOU WERE A SHORTY AND WATER WOULD HIT THE TV?????? WHEN I GOT 2 "THROUGH THE WIRE" I STEPPED ON THE FRONT PART OF MY STAGE AND THERE WAS SO MUCH LIQUID ON THE STAGE I COULDN'T MOVE WITHOUT SLIPPING. I HAD TO ADJUST MY WHOLE PERFORMANCE STYLE BECAUSE OF IT. A FEW MORE SONGS IN AND THE SONG WAS ON IT'S WAY UP.. I CUT A FEW SONGS FROM THE SET BECAUSE I WANTED PEOPLE 2 EXPERIENCE STRONGER WHILE THERE WAS STILL SOME DARKNESS TO PERFORM IT IN. I'VE STRUGGLED WITH STRONGER FROM IT'S CONCEPTION. REMEMBER LAST SUMMER WHEN I CANCELED SOME TV APPEARANCES. IT WAS BECAUSE I DIDN'T WANT TO PERFORM STRONGER IN THE DAYTIME. ANYONE WHO CAME TO THE GLOW TOUR CAN UNDERSTAND WHY I WANTED PEOPLE TO SEE IT PROPERLY. IT BROKE MY HEART THAT I COULDN'T GIVE THESE FANS STRONGER IN IT'S GREATEST FORM... BY THE TIME I GOT TO STRONGER IT WAS DAYTIME AND IT BROKE MY HEART. I'M SORRY TO EVERYONE THAT I DIDN'T HAVE THE ABILITY 2 GIVE THE PERFORMANCE I WANTED TO. I'M SORRY... SOMETIMES I GO 2, 3 DAYS W/O SLEEP WORKING ON MY PERFORMANCE... I HAVE TO ICE MY KNEES AFTER EVERY SHOW AND THEY HURT WHEN I WALK THROUGH THE AIRPORT... Late of the Pier are an English four-piece band from Castle Donington, currently signed to Parlophone Records. They have released four singles to date (Space and the Woods/Heartbeat. Flicker. Line., Bathroom Gurgle/VW, The Bears are Coming and the re-recorded album version of Space and the Woods, teamed with Focker for a double A-side). Their album "Fantasty Black Channel" will be released on 11th August, with the album version of "Heartbeat. Flicker. Line." released a week prior to it.

They have garnered a large teenage fanbase from playing All Ages club nights, even playing the first ever Underage Festival, in August 2007.

Lead singer Samuel Eastgate also has a side-project, La Priest, often written incorrectly as LA Priest. He has numerous productions and has made several remixes, as well as having the song "Engine" being remixed by Erol Alkan and released via Erol’s Phantasy Sound label.

The Jewish Defense League vs Freshjive

Things seem to be heating up in Fairfax as recent pictures and videos produced by Bobby Hundreds feature a small group of protesters from the Jewish Defense League outside Freshjive’s Reserve store objecting to some recent t-shirt releases from Freshjive. The tees in question include the depiction of former Palestine leader and generally unpopular character Yasser Arafat and Palestinian children wielding AK-47s. On his blog, Freshjive founder Rick Klotz offers his own 2 cents on all the negativity surrounding his designs in a response that reveals his reasoning on why these designs should not be perceived as anti-Semitic (Rick Klotz himself is Jewish). However this whole situation shows the power of a graphic t-shirt as well as Freshjive’s continual brand philosophy of creating active discourse with his products.

Cirque du Soleil presents Saltimbaco

Saltimbanco is the oldest major touring show of Cirque du Soleil at the time of its last performance, having run from 1992-2006. Saltimbanco's last performance in its original form (under the Grand Chapiteau, or Big Top) was in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, on December 10, 2006. An adaptation of Saltimbanco started touring North America on July 31, 2007, with its first stop in London, Ontario, Canada. Unlike the original show, this version will be staged in arenas, with shorter stops in each city it visits.

The show is described by Cirque du Soleil as a celebration of life. Its creators say they developed it to be an antidote to the violence and despair so prevalent in the 20th century. Saltimbanco offers its own vision of life, overflowing with optimism and joy. With its original score, Saltimbanco offers its own unique language conveyed through music, artistry, and singing. According to the company's site, Saltimbanco comes from the Italian "saltare in banco", which literally means "to jump on a bench."

Saltimbanco just finsihed performing 5 shows in Edmonton, Alberta and are continueing on their 2nd of 3 year world tour.

I know i talk my shit alot....alot, yes i know. i probably hype myself alot bigger than i actually am, but i just think im the shit hahaha jk but seriously. anywayssss im saying this cause lately if you've been at the ski hill with me, i have been talking about my idea to run a glow in the dark ski race out of canada olympic park in calgary, alberta. Well this is shit that would be used for the race or least something in this idea. Teamed up with Pierre Haulot, Nike has come up with a solution to keep you playing sports day and night. Virtual Park is a glow-in-the-dark spray paint that can be used to transform any environment you need to keep practicing at night. The paint only lasts for about two hours so there's no worries about vandalism. This is definitely an interesting product with lots of potential, not just for sports enthusiasts, but also for artists and advertisers around the world.

Kanye later addressed at Paris Fashion week that he was rocking Nikes. But he has been spotted again with another unknown Nike dunk. Kanye West was spotted wearing a new colorway of his fabled Nikes on his Glow in the Dark Tour. Straight from Kanye's mouth has slated they will see a retail roll out but no word yet on a date.

Kanye West, Rihanna, N.E.R.D. and Lupe Fiasco all turned in stellar sets to begin the “Glow in the Dark” Tour, what will likely end up as one of 2008’s most talked-about bills. All of Kanye’s openers were given thirty minutes to do their thing at Seattle’s KeyArena last night, and Lupe Fiasco kicked off the night with a fast-paced half-hour into which he crammed parts of eleven songs, including the hits “Kick, Push” and “Superstar.” (Matthew Santos, who sings on the latter track, appeared for three songs at the end of Fiasco’s set.) The stage was bare for his performance, but Fiasco made up for it with vibrant physical energy and a very red dress scheme shared by his backing singers and DJ.
